Killers Who Claim To Be Doing God's Will

Sadly Rosie isn't lying. Apparently like the majority of Christians Donald Dunnam is either choosing to ignore or condone Christian killers. Mr. Dunnam asked for proof that radical Christianity is as bad as radical Islam, well here it is.

Paul Hill murdered an abortion doctor and his guard in 1994, in the name of Christianity.


A shadowy group calling itself the Army of God took responsibility for the 1998 bombing of an abortion clinic in Birmingham, Alabama, that killed one person, they also took responsibility for two bombings in Atlanta in 1997.

In Spokane, Washington, three men who claimed ties to the Phineas Priesthood were charged with two bank robberies and the bombings of a newspaper office and a Planned Parenthood clinic. In case you are unfamiliar with the Phineas Priesthood they are named for a Bible story in which Phineas slew an interracial couple having sex. Today's Phineas Priesthood is supposedly made up of like-minded lone killers, who have taken it upon themselves to do God's will.

2001 Over 170 abortion clinics and doctors' offices in 14 states and the District of Columbia received threatening letters claiming to contain anthrax. ." When opened by clinic staff, all letters contained a white powder with a letter stating, "You have been exposed to anthrax. We are going to kill all of you. Army of God, Virginia DARE Chapter."

2003 Klan leader David Wayne Hull was arrested at his Washington County, Pennsylvania, home on February 13 for allegedly planning to blow up an abortion clinic. Hull is also a follower of Christian Identity, a racist and anti-Semitic sect whose adherents believe that white people are God's chosen people, descended from the lost tribes of ancient Israel, and that minorities are soulless "mud peoples."

2006 Weiler told police he made a pipe bomb to attack an abortion clinic, a car in Weiler's driveway had a frame around the front license plate that read "Choose Life" and "God is pro-Life."

Then there is David Koresh and the Branch Davidians in Waco, who were stock piling fire arms.

Until Christians are willing to speak out about those who claim to be doing God's will when they kill, we are as guilty as the Muslims who do not speak out against radical Islam. Burrying our heads in the sand and claiming that radical Christians "aren't that bad" as Mr Dunnam claims is WRONG. We must acknowlege the problem in order to end it. While I don't often agree with Rosie I applaud her for having the courage to point out that radical Christianity is just as bad as radical Islam.

Bible Doesn't Say Abortion is Wrong

Apparently Scott Wiggins of Porterville failed reading comprehension. Which means understanding what you read.

In Judaism, a fetus is regarded as a pre-human. A fetus becomes fully human only after it has half-emerged from the birth canal. Therefore using the Merriam/Webster dictionaries definition of murder abortion is not murder, thus the commandment "Thou shalt not kill" has nothing to do with abortion. In fact none of the scriptures he mentioned say abortion is wrong. Matthew 25:45 doesn't even mention abortion, babies or fetuses he just tries to twist the scripture to mean what he wants. Hosea 9:14 says O Lord, what shall I ask for your people? I will ask for wombs that don't give birth, for breast that cannot nourish. Definitely doesn't say anything about abortion being wrong, and the sin they were being "punished" for was idolatry. Amos 1:13 says The lord says, "The people of Ammon have sinned again and again and I will not forget it. I will not leave them unpunished any more. For in their wars in Gilead to enlarge their borders, they committed cruel crimes, ripping open pregnant women with their swords." Again the verse doesn't mention abortion, it is talking about murdering pregnant women. The other verses he mentions are equally silent on abortion.

His assertion that John Locke and the Founding Fathers forbid abortion is even more ludicrous. I have just finished reading the Articles of Confederation and the Declaration of Independence, neither document mentions abortion or fetuses. And considering Locke's work is characterized by opposition to authoritarianism, it is likely he would be PRO-CHOICE. Furthermore in his argument Wiggins is making women second class citizens who have less rights then a pre-human fetus. According to Wiggins a woman facing an unwanted pregnancy should have her rights striped from her for nine months, and be treated as little more then a incubator.

While evangelical Christians take the unenlightened view of trying to force their beliefs on the rest of us (beliefs,which certainly aren't based on the Bible as not ONE scripture in the Bible forbids abortion). Conservative, Reconstructionist and Reform Judaism are formally opposed to government regulation of abortion. They feel that the decision should rest with the woman, her husband, doctor and clergy person. Considering the Declaration of Independence does promise us "freedom of religion" this stance makes the most sense.

Consumption Tax is Unfair

Kerry Hunt's argument for an "unfair tax" is based on his feelings that his privacy is being violated by being forced to tell the Federal government his income for a given year. He doesn't bother to stop and think how a consumption tax would hurt people.

Under Hunt's fair tax plan medicine, visits to the doctor and hospital care would be taxed. Placing a greater tax burden on those with sick family members.

Seniors who have paid income tax all their working lives and are now looking forward to lower taxes would be taxed the same as everyone else.

Victims of natural disasters like Katrina, would be doubly victimized by a consumption tax (which is what the fair tax plan is no matter how much it's supporters try to disguise it by the name fair) as they would be forced to pay higher taxes in order to replace the homes, clothing, furniture etc lost to the natural disaster.

Young families just starting out would be asked to shoulder the same tax burden as the Bill Gates of this world. Hunt's argument that you could just not buy stuff in order to escape paying taxes is bogus. People have to buy food to eat, and pay for shelter for their families.

Teens working for minimum wage would be taxed the same as adults with high paying jobs. What's fair about that???? Teens and young adults who already bear incredible financial hardships in order to go to college would be taxed the same as millionaires, while trying to pay off student loans. What's fair about that?

There is nothing fair or constitutional about the fair tax.

Tired of Carpetbaggers and Yankees Trying to Take my Southern Heritage Away

I am proud of my Southern Heritage and I am tired of carpetbaggers and Yankees trying to take it away from me.

To me the Confederate flag represents bravery, honor and decency, and Confederate Memorial Day is a day to honor my ancestors. I wonder how Abraham Smith would feel if I suggested replacing Martin Luther King Day? I imagine he wouldn’t like it, just like I don’t appreciate his wanting to take away Confederate Memorial Day.

The Truth About the South and The War For Southern Independence.
1.) Not all white Southerners owned slaves, or approved of slavery. (Think about it. Do you really believe that everyone was a rich planter? There were many more small farmers, then rich planters).

2.) The War For Southern Independence was political; one of the key reasons for the war was taxes that benefited the North at the expense of the South.

And yes slavery would have ended without the War for Southern Independence. With the inventions of tractors, and other machinery slavery would have been made obsolete.

Perhaps Abraham Smith and others who would degenerate the South should ponder these questions.

Do they want to get rid of the American Flag? After all it was Yankee Clipper ships flying the American Flag that brought slaves to our shores.

Northerners may have wanted slavery to end (since they were no longer getting rich bringing slaves from Africa to America), but they didn’t want African Americans moving north. In fact President Abraham Lincoln supported sending the African American’s to colonize a country in Central America.

There were Black Slave Owners. Some how the Smith’s of this world always fail to mention that. And it was other African’s who captured the slaves and sold them into slavery. So why are only the white slave owners vilified by Mr. Smith. Shouldn’t the Africans that sold their “brothers” into slavery and the Free Blacks who bought slaves also share the blame?

Perhaps before vilifying Southerners Abraham Smith and Steve Gillespie can actually learn about the real reasons for the War for Southern Independence and the majority of Yankees views on the African American race (which was none to flattering).
